    1. Why does the V8 label state, eg 1 glass = 3 serves of vegetables? Similarly V8 Fruit & Veg?

The Australian Guide to Healthy Eating (1998) recommends that Australian adults consume 5 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruit every day. V8 juice can help you consume these servings by giving you 3 serves in a 250ml glass.

    2. Do the nutritional values on V8 represent the product before or after it’s made?

The nutritional values are taken after the juice has been processed.

    3. Are there preservatives added to V8 juice?

V8 juices do not contain preservatives. The juice is cooked quickly at a high temperature, then filled and sealed under sterile conditions in either the glass bottle or the combibloc carton so it is shelf stable.

    8. Is there a ‘best before’ date on Campbell’s cans? What do the codes on the cans mean?

On the bottom of the can are some letters and numbers, eg
      E71 15:03
      D 7D302

The bottom row is the code to read. The first number stands for the month of production, eg 7 = July; the third number for the year, eg 3 = 2003.
