Handy Hint

Seasoning your wok To season your wok place the empty wok over a high heat. Add a tablespoon of salt then rub down the salted wok with a large wad of paper towels until all the blackness has been removed. Remove the wok from the stove and discard the salt. Add a teaspoon or two of oil and carefully spread it around the wok's surface. Return the wok back to the stove and heat until smoking then remove from heat and carefully wipe the wok out with more paper towel.
